• Brightfield objectives for observing samples with contrast or color (i.e., stained histological samples)
• Infinity correction system, observation in reflected or transmitted illumination, polarized observation
• Köhler illumination creates uniform illumination of the specimen and ensures that the image of the light source is not visible in the final image
• 40x and 60x magnification objectives are spring-loaded (they have a spring-loaded front lens to prevent damage to the objective and the specimen)
